...but I believe many fans screw up their understanding of what a true love relation is. I guess it is the same with mainstream movie stars or pop stars, where especially teenage girls tend to get in love with fictional characters. Eventually they mature and move on. Porn is different to mainstream movies since sex and love is so intertwined and difficult to separate. Having Tw contact or similar makes the separation even more difficult.

If we as porn consumers keep fantasy and reality separate. Porn actors can be allowed to finish their careers as they please.

I think the main problem or what changed now is predominance of social media, OFy, cam and streaming. Many fans want more than just ideal images to fantasize about and get off to, they want 'real' contact and via OFy/cam girls additionally sell it to them. Its contact but it's a product born from fans fantasy still nevertheless.
And it makes it even more difficult for girls to fully retire. On social media you see porn girls turning their formerly official porn star pages into more private ones about their baby children for instance. It gets confusing and some even return after a longer break. But when pausing they expect fans to respect they are fully retired. I get their POV ofc, but I'd advise them to mix private life and ex-pornstar life less at least.
